The Part-Time Athletics, Marketing & Special Events Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting the promotion, organization, and execution of a wide range of recreational activities and community events organized by the Parks and Recreation department. Special events ranging from community festivals to recreational tournaments will require the Coordinator’s keen attention to logistical details, such as vendor communication, on-site support, registration management, and event setup and breakdown. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in marketing, communications, event planning, recreation, or related field preferred
  • strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • familiarity with social media management and graphic design tools
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • valid driver's license preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in marketing, communications, event planning, recreation, public relations, or a related field preferred

Job Duties

  • Assist with the development and implementation of marketing strategies to promote parks and recreation programs, athletic activities, facilities, and special events
  • create, schedule, and manage content for social media, email communications, flyers, calendars, and other promotional materials
  • support the planning and execution of special events, community festivals, recreational classes, tournaments, and seasonal activities
  • coordinate event logistics including registration, vendor communication, setup, breakdown, signage, supplies, and on-site support
  • maintain accurate program listings, promotional calendars, and marketing materials
  • engage with community members and provide information regarding programs, events, and facility offerings
  • assist with tracking participation, evaluating event success, and measuring marketing effectiveness
  • provide excellent customer service while representing the City in a positive and professional manner
