Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in marketing, communications, event planning, recreation, or related field preferred
- strong organizational and multitasking skills
- excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- familiarity with social media management and graphic design tools
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- valid driver's license preferred

- familiarity with social media platforms and basic graphic design tools such as Canva or similar programs

- flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for programs and special events
Job Duties
- Assist with the development and implementation of marketing strategies to promote parks and recreation programs, athletic activities, facilities, and special events
- create, schedule, and manage content for social media, email communications, flyers, calendars, and other promotional materials
- support the planning and execution of special events, community festivals, recreational classes, tournaments, and seasonal activities
- coordinate event logistics including registration, vendor communication, setup, breakdown, signage, supplies, and on-site support
- maintain accurate program listings, promotional calendars, and marketing materials
- engage with community members and provide information regarding programs, events, and facility offerings
- assist with tracking participation, evaluating event success, and measuring marketing effectiveness
- provide excellent customer service while representing the City in a positive and professional manner
