The Athletics Event Staff position at Saint Mary’s College of California is a part-time role designed to support the operations of athletic events on campus. Reporting directly to the Associate Athletic Director for Operations or the Assistant Director of Athletics for Media Relations, this crucial role helps ensure that athletic events run smoothly and safely. The Athletics Event Staff are responsible for a variety of tasks that range from setting up and breaking down event facilities to managing ticket sales and media tables. Additional essential duties include operating game-related equipment such as the shot clock, score book, and scoreboard, making this position integral to the overall game day experience. The role requires individuals who can create a safe and positive atmosphere for fans and participants, enforce college policies, and handle any conflicts or medical concerns that may arise during events.
