The Athletic Facilities Coordinator role at UT Knoxville focuses on supporting the daily operations, maintenance, and event readiness of athletic facilities to uphold a safety-first, functional, and event-prepared environment. Serving as an on-site resource during events, the coordinator works closely with coaches, administrators, support teams, and facility services to streamline logistics and maintain game-day operations. Key responsibilities include supervising student staff, managing critical operational hubs such as the warehouse and loading dock, and performing routine facility walkthroughs to monitor conditions and safety. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 1-2 years of experience in Division 1 collegiate athletics
- working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Outlook
- ability to create and generate spreadsheets and other inventory control and reporting processes
- ability to lift up to 75 lbs

Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, 1-2 years of experience in Division 1 collegiate athletics, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Outlook, ability to create and generate spreadsheets and other inventory control and reporting processes, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, strong integrity and trustworthiness, adherence to university, SEC, and NCAA rules and regulations, commitment to the Athletics Department and University's mission, ability to work with cross-functional teams and foster teamwork, ability to work with diverse populations, excellent communication skills both verbal and written, detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, team player who integrates views with policies and procedures established by Athletic Administration
Job Duties
- Assist with planning, setup, conversion, and breakdown of athletic and special events, serve as an on-site point of contact during events to address operational needs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth execution, communicate event logistics with coaches, sport administrators, event management, and external users, support game-day operations including access control, field/court readiness, and post-event reset, coordinate with facilities maintenance, custodial, and grounds teams to ensure venues are clean, safe, and competition-ready, assist in identifying maintenance needs and submitting work requests for repairs, preventive maintenance, and improvements, conduct regular facility walkthroughs to monitor conditions, safety concerns, and operational readiness, support seasonal and long-term facility upkeep projects as assigned, supervise, train, and prepare daily task schedules for 8-12 student workers and/or interns, manage the warehouse & loading dock facility at the Athletic Complex for football and equipment staff, perform other duties as assigned
