Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one year of experience in retail environment
- six months supervisory experience preferred
- effective communication skills
- problem solving abilities
- organizational skills with attention to detail
- ability to read and interpret documents and manuals
- mathematical calculation skills
- cash register operation proficiency
- knowledge of cash handling, facility, and safety controls
- ability to drive own vehicle and make bank deposits
- physical ability to perform frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting up to 55 pounds
- ability to work in fast-paced environment
- willingness to travel to other stores and attend meetings
Job Qualifications
- Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- ability to solve problems and handle various situations
- good organizational skills with attention to detail
- ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals
- proficiency in mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
- ability to perform cash register functions and generate reports
- knowledge of cash, facility, and safety control policies and practices
- knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
- ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money
- high school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- one year of retail experience and six months supervisory experience preferred
Job Duties
- Provide superior customer service leadership
- greet and assist customers
- operate cash register and scanner to itemize purchases
- open and close the store a minimum of two days per week
- assist Store Manager with scheduling employees, training, and conducting safety meetings
- ensure employee compliance with policies
- manage merchandise including receiving, unpacking, stocking, restocking and rotating
- build merchandise displays
- assist in maintaining accurate inventory
- control damages, markdowns, and paperwork
- assist with planogram implementation and maintenance
- ensure merchandise presentation meets standards
- maintain financial integrity through cashier accountability, key control, security practices, refund authorization, counting tills, and deposits
- assist with store management in Store Manager's absence
