Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
  • one year of retail experience and six months supervisory experience preferred
  • ability to perform frequent walking and standing
  • ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, push, or pull rolltainers
  • ability to handle merchandise and equipment such as scanners and pricing guns
  • frequent lifting of up to 40 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 55 pounds
  • occasional climbing using step ladder up to six feet
  • comfortable working in fast-paced, moderate noise environments
  • occasional exposure to weather
  • ability to drive own vehicle for store-related duties

Job Duties

  • Provide superior customer service leadership
  • greet and assist customers
  • operate cash register and scanner to itemize purchases
  • open and close the store a minimum of two days per week
  • assist Store Manager with employee scheduling and training
  • conduct safety meetings and ensure compliance with company policies
  • manage merchandise including receiving, unpacking, stocking, restocking, rotating, and building displays
  • maintain accurate inventory control including damages and markdowns
  • assist with planogram implementation and merchandise presentation
  • ensure financial integrity through cashier accountability, key control, cash handling, authorize refunds, count tills, and prepare bank deposits
  • manage store operations in the absence of Store Manager
