The role of Assistant Store Manager at Dollar General involves supporting the Store Manager in maintaining a clean, organized, and customer-focused store environment. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
  • one year retail experience preferred
  • six months supervisory experience preferred
  • ability to perform mathematical calculations
  • ability to handle cash register functions
  • ability to drive own vehicle to bank
  • effective communication skills
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to follow company policies
  • ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently and up to 55 pounds occasionally
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing
  • availability to work in fast-paced environment
  • ability to work flexible hours

Job Duties

  • Provide superior customer service leadership

  • manage store in Store Manager's absence
