The role of Assistant General Restaurant Manager (ARGM) at Church's Chicken is an exciting opportunity for individuals ready to take on a hands-on leadership position in a fast-paced restaurant setting. Reporting directly to the Restaurant General Manager, the ARGM is responsible for managing the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure efficiency and excellent service. This role involves supporting the achievement of financial targets, including meeting or exceeding sales and profitability plans, managing inventory accurately, and maintaining administrative duties such as banking and paperwork.

As the ARGM, you will play a crucial role in staff training and development, ensuring that all team members are well-prepared and aligned with Church's policies and procedures. During busy periods, you will actively support the team on the floor, demonstrating leadership by example. The position demands a commitment to upholding health and safety standards as mandated by federal, state, and local regulations, alongside company quality standards. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. is required
  • Must have 1 year of supervisory experience working in the restaurant industry
  • ServSafe food safety training is highly recommended

Job Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of valid insurance
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Must be available to work a flexible shift including weekends
  • Knowledge of all restaurant policies, practices and operational and human resources procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Knowledge of profit and loss statements
  • Ability to implement policies and procedures
  • Skilled in developing employees by coaching, counseling, and building strong work habits
  • Continuously working to improve customer satisfaction
  • Knowledge of recruiting and interviewing potential team members
  • Ability to supervise others
  • Manage conflict resolution
  • Create and maintain a positive work environment

Job Duties

  • Assist Restaurant General Manager in ensuring all employees are trained
  • Assist RGM in maintaining appropriate staffing and preparing weekly schedules
  • Help staff during high volume periods as needed
  • Assist in administering all paperwork in a timely manner
  • Assist in analyzing profit and loss statements and in meeting established sales plan for unit
  • Maintain and record accurate inventory
  • Understand, enforce and adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Assist in maintaining all company operations standards and compliance
  • Ensure that federal, state and local laws, regulations, and ordinances are practiced and enforced
  • Maintain a clean facility at all times
  • Deliver consistent, high quality products daily, every shift
  • Perform other duties as assigned
