The district is known for its comprehensive programs, professional development opportunities, and commitment to diversity and equal employment opportunities. HCPS actively supports its staff with ongoing training, resources, and a collaborative work culture.

Supervisory duties include managing assigned clerical staff and subordinate professionals, planning and directing work, appraising performance, and addressing any work-related issues in alignment with district policies and relevant laws.

Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to the district's core values including civility, respect, professionalism, and integrity. The role demands excellent attendance and punctuality as these are crucial to the reliable operation of the childcare program. Attendance scheduling must be planned in advance and all work commitments must be met punctually. The Assistant Instructor position emphasizes ethical behavior, customer service excellence, dependability, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively within a team and with the community.

Candidates should possess practical skills in using Microsoft Office and have strong basic math and reasoning capabilities. Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and performing light lifting. Working in an environment with moderate noise levels is expected.

This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals who have experience working in childcare facilities and possess the required certifications, including a valid driver's license, Child Care Worker course completion, Multi Media First Aid training, and Pediatric CPR certification.
