We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our leadership team. This is a pivotal role within our upscale restaurant, responsible for assisting the General Manager in overseeing daily operations with a focus on delivering a seamless dining and bar experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of restaurant management, and a commitment to both guest satisfaction and team wellbeing. The Assistant General Manager will play a critical role in managing the business segments of restaurant operations, including staffing, service quality, and cost controls. This individual will ensure that customers receive prompt and attentive service from cocktail servers while coordinating staff assignments and adjusting labor needs based on real-time business demands. Additionally, the role involves managing inventory efficiently, maintaining safety and sanitation standards, and handling guest interactions to promptly address feedback or complaints. The position requires a hands-on approach, with responsibilities extending to training new employees and supervising existing staff to uphold the highest operational standards. Job Requirements

  • must be able to pass the tsa federal background check to work in the airport
  • 4-year college degree preferred
  • 3 or more years experience as a restaurant manager in a casual fine dining environment
  • must be capable of performing all functions and meeting qualification standards for all hourly positions
  • prior knowledge and experience in purchasing and production
  • must have extensive knowledge of fine wine and craft specialty drinks

Job Duties

  • assist in managing business segments of restaurant operations including staffing and service
  • assist in optimizing profit and controlling costs with the use of p&l statements
  • train new employees and supervise current employees to consistently provide exemplary service and achieve operational excellence
  • maintain a healthy and safe environment for guests and staff alike by adhering to safety and sanitation standards
  • manages inventory efficiently accurately and in a cost-effective manner
  • frequently interact with guests and follow up on any issues or complaints they may have
  • ensure great food is served to every guest
