The role of the Assistant Front Office Manager at this landmark hotel involves overseeing the efficient and courteous operation of the Front Office team to ensure every guest receives outstanding service throughout their stay. This full-time position is essential in maximizing room revenue and occupancy while maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction. The Assistant Manager collaborates closely with multiple departments, including Sales and Reservations, to handle VIP and group requests and manage daily front desk operations. Responsibilities also include guest reception assistance, leading customer service training, supervising shifts, maintaining accurate financial reports, handling guest complaints tactfully, and promoting the hotel’s amenities and local attractions.

The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership skills with excellent interpersonal communication, multitasking abilities, and financial acumen. Job Qualifications

  • A 4-year college degree

Job Duties

  • Works closely with Sales and Reservations to fulfill all special requests for groups, VIPs, etc
  • assist daily in guest reception
  • respond to all social media feedback and follow up with guests and internal departments
  • communicate effectively and genuinely with guests, team members, and other departments
  • assist and lead guest service training initiatives within the front office
  • maintain a friendly and caring demeanor in a fast-paced environment
  • provide front desk assistant duties including guest registration, up-selling, preparing for group check-ins and VIP arrivals
  • maintain and update all guest profiles
  • review daily and future reservations to accommodate special requests
  • work with new hires for front desk training
  • interview, hire, and train guest services agents
  • be informed of events/functions during shifts
  • maintain a house bank and accurate reports of daily receipts and deposits
  • work with and understand basic financial data
  • find guest centric solutions
  • promote hotel services and local attractions
  • assist with reservations and PBX
  • resolve guest complaints satisfactorily
  • anticipate guest needs proactively
  • respond promptly to guest requests
  • maintain good relations with repeat guests
  • supervise shifts when needed
  • collaborate with Sales and VIP clients
  • stay current with hotel developments through communication logs
  • know and assist with emergency procedures
  • attend mandatory meetings and trainings
  • be knowledgeable about key hotel personnel and local area
  • complete all assigned checklists
