Elkhart, Indiana-based Summit is currently seeking to hire a full-time Assistant Food Service Director to join their Corrections team onsite. This role is essential for overseeing culinary operations, safety protocols, sanitation standards, and managing day-to-day functions within the correctional foodservice setting. The Assistant Food Service Director will be deeply involved in the leadership and operational excellence that Summit is known for and will work alongside a diverse team in a demanding yet rewarding environment. The Assistant Food Service Director will play a vital role in recruiting, training, and retaining a skilled and motivated staffing team comprising chefs, cashiers, baristas, cooks, and catering personnel. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least two years’ experience in a supervisory role
- At least two years’ foodservice experience
- Proven track record of financial responsibility
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
