The Assistant Food Service Director role in Elkhart, Indiana, is a full-time onsite position within Summit’s Corrections segment. This position reports to the Food Service Director and entails assisting in managing all culinary, safety, sanitation, and operational aspects of the correctional facility’s food service operations. The successful candidate will oversee a diverse team, including chefs, cooks, cashiers, baristas, and catering staff, ensuring that the facility delivers high-quality food with friendly and efficient service. Leadership skills, financial management, and strong communication capabilities are essential to this role.

In this leadership role, the Assistant Food Service Director will be responsible for recruiting, training, and retaining a sizable team to support day-to-day food service activities. Job Requirements

  • At least two years’ experience in a supervisory role

  • Proven track record of financial responsibility
