Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of related experience
  • 1+ years supervisory experience, hotel or resort preferred
  • computer proficiency with apps such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • proficient in English language
  • ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
  • valid Hawaii Health Card/Food Handler's Card
  • valid Hawaii Alcohol Awareness Training Certification
  • familiar with Liquor Commission and Blue Card requirements
  • must be of legal age to serve and sell alcohol

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of related experience
  • 1+ years supervisory experience, hotel or resort preferred

  • proficient in English language
  • valid Hawaii Health Card/Food Handler's Card

  • BA/BS or bachelor's degree preferred
  • previous menu creation experience preferred
  • 3+ years of related culinary experience preferred
  • back of house and/or front of house restaurant management experience preferred
  • union experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Assists in developing menu items and recipes to be sold in the food and beverage outlets
  • maintains inventory levels and controls and assists in the preparation of department budgets and monitor expenditures to assure cost of goods sold and operating expenses are managed according to budget
  • monitors procedures to improve operations
  • establishes work priorities, departmental goals, and coordinates departmental scheduling, training, and development
  • coordinates with Front Desk to forecast inventory needs based on occupancy and consistently reports to management on priorities and activities of department
  • directs communication with departments and outside entities, and acts as a business contact with colleagues, purveyors, and the Health Department officials
  • ensures compliance with state food, liquor (where applicable), and sanitation laws and regulations and maintain an "A" rating with the Health Department
  • maintains complete and current Safety Data Sheet (SDSs) logbook and safety binder for department and stores chemical and supplies in accordance with company, state, and federal policies
  • embodies the Hilton Grand Vacations values of hospitality, integrity, leadership, teamwork, ownership, now
  • completes all required company training/compliance courses as assigned
  • adheres to company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures
  • performs other related duties as assigned
