Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Accredited dietetic training course completion
- Minimum two years supervisory experience in relevant healthcare settings
- Training in cost control and diet therapy

Job Duties
- Interview patients and families to obtain diet history and preferences
- Complete clinical record documentation such as progress notes
- Assess and document nutritional needs of patients
- Review and ensure correct delivery of regular and therapeutic diets
- Counsel patients on dietary habits and menu options
- Assess and document cultural dietary considerations
- Record freezer and refrigerator temperatures according to protocols
- Manage stock checks and proper storage of supplies
- Order food and cleaning materials as needed
- Supervise tray line meal service
- Process diet orders accurately and make menu substitutions per guidelines
- Store leftovers and opened food properly
- Serve nourishments according to procedures
- Prepare coffee and tea on request
- Adhere to procedures for serving partner meals
- Supervise cleaning of kitchen equipment including carts, tables, ice machines, blenders, ovens, and more
- Operate kitchen equipment such as dish machines, meat slicers, and coffee makers
- Use standardized recipes and appropriate serving utensils
- Check and record water and dishwasher temperatures
- Monitor and replenish chemical levels
