Job Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited AVMA institution
  • active or eligible Florida veterinary license
  • eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD licensure
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • professional, positive, and collaborative demeanor with both staff and clients
  • ability to lift up to 25 pounds independently and assist with larger patients or equipment as needed

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries
  • operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples
  • interpret results
  • advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options
  • perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed
  • provide compassionate counsel around pet end-of-life care
  • maintain thorough and accurate medical records
  • ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and all relevant statutes, policies, and procedures
