Job Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited AVMA institution
- active or eligible Florida veterinary license
- eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD licensure
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- professional, positive, and collaborative demeanor with both staff and clients
- ability to lift up to 25 pounds independently and assist with larger patients or equipment as needed

Job Duties
- Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries
- operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples
- interpret results
- advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options
- perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed
- provide compassionate counsel around pet end-of-life care
- maintain thorough and accurate medical records
- ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and all relevant statutes, policies, and procedures
