Job Description

Cat Care Professionals is a dedicated feline-only veterinary practice located in Lake Oswego, Oregon, just 15 minutes from downtown Portland. This small animal general practice focuses exclusively on delivering expert medical care to domestic and exotic cats. The clinic is renowned for its commitment to Fear-Free® standards and is working towards full practice certification, ensuring that every cat receives compassionate, stress-free treatment. The practice's environment promotes a serene, natural-light-filled space, enhancing both client and patient comfort. Cat Care Professionals prides itself on a knowledgeable, collaborative team comprising three experienced veterinarians, a skilled Medical Director, a seasoned Hospital Manager, and well-trained Certified Veterinary Technicians, with plans to expand their team to five to seven CVTs. The clinic emphasizes a supportive and balanced work culture, structured around thoughtful scheduling that avoids emergency cases, weekend shifts, and double bookings. Team members enjoy a considerable two-hour lunch break and leave on time, fostering excellent work-life balance and job satisfaction. The practice also takes pride in its longstanding team retention, supportive mentorship programs, and continuous education opportunities. Clients of Cat Care Professionals appreciate the VIP experience offered to their feline companions through excellent communication, client education, and collaborative care tailored to each cat's needs. The clinic is equipped with advanced medical technology including two anesthesia machines, a fully equipped dental suite with digital capabilities, cold laser therapy, ultrasound, cautery devices, and a comprehensive in-house laboratory that provides same-day results for most tests through IDEXX integration. Each veterinarian benefits from a private office with large windows that offer plenty of natural light to create a comfortable and inviting workspace. Monthly team meetings with catered lunches, high-quality snacks, and a dedicated breakroom contribute to a positive and engaging work environment. This full-time role demands 3-4 days of work per week, with no weekend shifts, and features 45-minute appointments to ensure thorough, uninterrupted patient care. The clinic offers a highly competitive base salary complemented by quarterly production bonuses without negative accrual. Additional benefits include a relocation package, medical, dental, and vision insurance with an HSA option, generous paid time off and holidays, paid parental leave, annual continuing education allowance with days off for attendance, professional development assistance, coverage of professional membership dues and licensing fees, 401(k) with matching contributions, personal pet discounts, and support for personal interests such as park passes and charity donations. Cat Care Professionals emphasizes equal opportunity employment, valuing diversity and merit-based hiring decisions to maintain a respectful and inclusive workplace. This unique opportunity is perfect for a veterinarian who is passionate about feline health, skilled in surgery, eager to engage in client education, and dedicated to collaborative teamwork in a rewarding and serene atmosphere.
