The role of Associate Software Engineer at L3Harris Technologies is a dynamic position located in Palm Bay, FL, designed for individuals passionate about software development in a cutting-edge defense technology environment. This position operates on a unique 9/80 work schedule, where employees work 9 days out of every 14, totaling 80 hours, with every other Friday off. The Associate Software Engineer will apply principles of computer science, engineering, and mathematics to develop software solutions, particularly for embedded real-time control systems found in advanced tactical radio equipment. Collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering teams, the engineer will engage in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing.

Candidates will have the opportunity to work with a variety of programming languages, including but not limited to C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, and Python, across platforms such as Windows, Linux, mobile, and embedded real-time operating systems like VxWorks, QNX, and Integrity. The role also involves the application of digital signal processing (DSP) concepts, communication systems, and modulation/coding algorithms to optimize software performance. Through peer reviews, defect tracking, and software testing, the engineer will ensure software quality and reliability.
