This opportunity is within the Private Equity Fund Services team at Baker Tilly, where the firm is seeking to add an Associate. This role is ideal for individuals beginning their careers in accounting and finance, particularly those with an interest in private equity fund operations. The Associate will be instrumental in daily accounting tasks, financial reporting, client communications, and capital management. This is a full-time position aligned with Pacific Time Zone hours and offers a competitive annual salary range from $71,000 to $100,390, influenced by experience, qualifications, and other factors. The role requires someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and adept at handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating strong communication and problem-solving skills. Candidates will be engaged in preparing journal entries, reviewing cash reports, preparing financial statements and capital calls for management approval, coordinating communications with clients and investors, managing client investor portals, and undertaking special projects as needed. Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • CPA license or in process preferred
  • 0-1 year of experience with a public accounting firm, investment bank, or the financial services industry or general interest in supporting private equity fund operations and accounting
  • excellent communication, time management, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • ability to multitask
  • ability to communicate and interact professionally and effectively with current and potential clients
  • strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • ability to work both in a team environment and independently
  • eagerness to learn and strong work ethic
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities and deadlines
  • knowledge of Investran or other partnership accounting software a plus

Job Duties

  • Record daily journal entries and review cash reporting
  • help prepare quarterly and annual reporting packages for management approval
  • help prepare quarterly and annual financial statements for management approval
  • prepare capital calls and distributions for management approval
  • coordinate the delivery of capital call and distribution notices to clients and investors
  • prepare and review correspondence with client investors to address inquiries as needed
  • manage client investor portals
  • coordinate and complete special projects as directed by management
  • perform other duties as assigned
