Job Description

Raymond James is a diversified financial services company known for its client-first approach, commitment to integrity, independence, and long-term perspective in serving its customers. As a leader in the financial industry, Raymond James offers a range of services that include investment banking, wealth management, and capital markets. The firm prides itself on fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment where associates are encouraged to develop professionally, take ownership of their work, and contribute to the continuous evolution of the organization. Operating with a strong emphasis on values, Raymond James supports a culture that honors diversity and ensures equal employment opportunities based on merit and business needs.

The role of Meeting and Event Planner at Raymond James involves assisting in the planning and coordination of corporate meetings and events, primarily focusing on managing small to medium size programs throughout their entire lifecycle—from initiation and planning to execution and closure. This position operates under general supervision, using specialized knowledge gained through experience or formal training to perform various tasks with minimal need for judgment or creativity in routine decision-making. The Meeting and Event Planner is responsible for creating online registration systems, compiling expenditures, producing executive communications, managing travel logistics in coordination with an internal travel agency, and providing on-site event coordination including hotel staff liaison and program logistics. The role requires excellent organizational skills to balance multiple concurrent events and administrative capabilities to support the meeting planning group effectively.

Candidates for this position should have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, or Marketing and possess 7 to 12 months of related work experience. The role accommodates a hybrid work style and requires less than 25% travel. The compensation package includes base salary, potential bonuses or commissions, and a comprehensive benefits package featuring medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and critical illness insurance, disability benefits, retirement savings, paid time off, and parental leave. Raymond James values associates who demonstrate the firm’s core behaviors of developing skills, collaborating with others, making decisions with clients’ best interests in mind, delivering results responsibly, and continuously improving their work. This opportunity allows individuals to grow professionally within a supportive, people-first culture that celebrates authenticity and diverse experiences.
