Situated in Summit, New Jersey, the role of Associate Manager, Sales Operations within the Self Care/Skin Health/Analytics division represents a vital position in the company. This hybrid work position reports to the Senior Manager, Sales Operations, and focuses on facilitating seamless communication between customer-based teams and cross-functional business units. The role is tailored toward managing supply constraints, operational change management, allocations, excess inventory, and product transitions, ensuring customers receive fair and timely access to products.

The Associate Manager will play a key role in analyzing data and developing transparent and accurate communication regarding supply outlooks, enforcing company policies such as the Minimum Fill Policy (MFP), and supporting the Bridging Process to meet retailer needs effectively. Collaboration with various internal stakeholders is essential to ensure alignment and optimize supply chain processes. The role demands a proactive approach to responding to field inquiries, driving root cause analysis of supply volatility, and proposing corrective actions to improve service levels.

In addition to operational responsibilities, the Associate Manager will interpret market intelligence data, perform risk assessments, and provide analytical insights to support product lifecycle management. The role requires maintaining a thorough understanding of pricing, trade promotions, and inventory management processes, all while adhering strictly to company policies.

Job Requirements

  • 4-yr degree or equivalent
  • 4 plus years including prior experience in direct customer sales, business analytics, or supply chain is required
  • Prior experience in consumer package goods preferred
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, complex matrix, changing environment
  • Ability to influence decision-makers up and down one or more levels, with and without direct authority
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, effective communication, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to devise and deliver persuasive presentations based on data-driven insights and facts
  • Ability to complete projects and follow processes to deliver results including volume achievements
  • Ability to plan and execute strategies and tactics to support broader company and brand objectives
  • Ability to identify and assess risk and prioritize competing demand
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite applications, database information sources and web applications
  • Proven self-starter with the ability to work independently and drive results in ambiguous, fast-paced, and minimally structured environments

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Four or more years of experience in direct customer sales, business analytics, or supply chain
  • Prior experience in consumer packaged goods preferred
  • Strong leadership skills

  • Competence in delivering persuasive presentations based on data-driven insights
  • Proven ability to complete projects and achieve volume goals

Job Duties

  • Capture data and information to facilitate communication between sales, delivery, and supply chain to meet customer product supply needs
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure accurate and transparent communication of supply outlooks
  • Execute Minimum Fill Policy enforcement
  • Respond promptly to field inquiries and provide supply issue updates
  • Represent the voice of the customer internally to brand partners
  • Align with multiple functional groups on assigned areas and projects
  • Communicate brand activities to field members for action
  • Identify and drive efficiencies in information management and processes
  • Lead root cause analysis for supply volatility, excess inventory, and service failures
  • Support the Bridging Process and execution for POG resets of discontinued codes
  • Interpret market intelligence data related to trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Understand business processes related to pricing, trade promotions, and inventory management
  • Provide analytical insights for product transitions and lifecycle management
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
