The role of Associate Manager, Investor Services, is pivotal within SS&C’s commitment to delivering exceptional client service. Investor Services teams act as the backbone of the investment world, facilitating critical interactions between investors and fund managers. In this role, you will lead, mentor, and collaborate closely with Associate and Senior-level team members while managing key institutional client relationships. Based in one of several locations including Evansville, IN; Union, NJ; New York, NY; Windsor, CT; or Boston, MA, this position offers a hybrid working model, providing flexibility and a dynamic work environment.

As an Associate Manager, you will oversee the intricate end-to-end processing of investor subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, and capital activities, ensuring all transactions comply with fund documents and regulatory standards. You will act as the primary contact for institutional investors, resolving inquiries effectively and building strong, trusted partnerships. Your leadership will foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture while implementing strategies to enhance operational workflows for improved efficiency and client satisfaction.

Further responsibilities include coordinating with cross-functional departments such as fund accounting, legal, and compliance to guarantee seamless service delivery. Staying current with industry best practices, regulatory changes, and technological advancements defines this role, as does developing targeted training programs aimed at enhancing the team’s skills and expertise.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance business administration or related field
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in investor services or related financial services industry
  • At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Proven client relationship management skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage complex projects and work with corporate executives
  • Knowledge of fund structures AML/KYC FATCA CRS compliance
  • Understanding of investment vehicles including private equity hedge funds and mutual funds

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance business administration or similar field
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in investor services or related financial services industry with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity
  • Excellent client relationship management skills with proven ability to communicate effectively with institutional investors
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and work effectively with corporate executives
  • Excellent communication skills including written listening and presentation abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team fostering a positive and productive work environment
  • Strong knowledge of fund structures and all aspects of investor services including AML/KYC compliance FATCA CRS
  • Strong understanding of various investment vehicles such as private equity hedge funds mutual funds and their associated investor servicing requirements

Job Duties

  • Manage and mentor a team of investor services professionals fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment
  • Oversee the end-to-end processing of investor subscriptions redemptions transfers and other capital activity ensuring compliance with fund documents and regulatory requirements
  • Act as a primary point of contact for a portfolio of institutional clients addressing inquiries resolving issues and building strong trusted relationships
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of investor statements capital calls distribution notices and other investor-related communications
  • Monitor and enhance operational workflows and procedures to improve efficiency accuracy and client satisfaction
  • Collaborate with internal departments including fund accounting legal and compliance to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices regulatory changes and technological advancements in investor services
