The Associate IT Service Manager role at Unum is an exciting opportunity for an Audio-Visual Engineer to oversee the technical operations linked to onsite event spaces, seminars, and conference room management at the Columbia, SC campus. This role involves direct coordination and communication with a broad spectrum of stakeholders, including IT teams, departmental event coordinators, corporate communications, and senior executives. Responsibilities include designing and managing audio/video layouts for events, live streaming services, lighting needs, and ensuring technical support for A/V systems. Expertise in troubleshooting and debugging audiovisual technology is critical, as well as experience working with various live production, broadcast, and streaming equipment and software such as ProPresenter, Blackmagic, Final Cut, and Adobe Creative Suite.

The role demands a versatile professional comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams, often operating under tight deadlines and flexible schedules inclusive of nights and weekends. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
  • 1-2 years or more experience in audio/visual, IT support, public broadcasting or event management
  • Experience using Microsoft Collaboration tools, ideally Teams, Planner, and Bookings
  • Experience with IT Service Management systems, specifically ServiceNow
  • Practical knowledge with live production equipment and broadcast software such as ProPresenter, Blackmagic, Final Cut, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Familiarity with installation, support, and troubleshooting of video conferencing solutions including Crestron, Poly, Yealink, Logitech, Solstice
  • Ability to think critically and challenge conventional methods

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
  • 1-2 years experience in audio/visual, IT support, public broadcasting or event management
  • Proficient with Microsoft Collaboration tools such as Teams, Planner, and Bookings
  • Experience with IT Service Management Systems, specifically ServiceNow
  • Skilled in live production, camera operation, video switching, audio mixing, and use of broadcast and streaming software including ProPresenter, Blackmagic, Final Cut, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Knowledge of video conferencing solutions like Crestron, Poly, Yealink, Logitech, and Solstice

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines

Job Duties

  • Coordinate with IT, event coordinators, corporate communication, and executives to manage audio/visual and live streaming services for events
  • Troubleshoot and maintain audiovisual systems in onsite event spaces and conference rooms
  • Generate event audio and video designs and layouts
  • Oversee operational readiness and service level agreements with service providers
  • Assess service performance, incident management, and facilitate root cause analysis
  • Manage and support video conferencing solutions including installation and troubleshooting
  • Coordinate planning and prioritization activities with internal and external teams
  • Implement ITIL discipline for change management in production environments
  • Support and run small to medium IT projects related to audiovisual services
