The Associate Engagement Coordinator role at SpartanNash is pivotal in fostering a people-first culture within the store environment. This position focuses on managing the entire employment life cycle for the assigned store, ensuring that employee engagement initiatives are effectively created and executed. The Associate Engagement Coordinator supports multiple facets of the employee experience, including hiring, orientation, training, safety, compliance, and communication within the store. This role demands a proactive and organized individual who can manage recruiting processes, partner with HR for hiring events, oversee new hire training, and administer employee recognition programs. The Associate Engagement Coordinator also maintains compliance by handling sensitive HR tasks such as terminations, I-9 processing, and work permits for minors, thus ensuring the store operates within legal and organizational standards.
This role requires strong communication skills, both written and verbal, alongside proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems. The coordinator is expected to champion employee engagement by maintaining positive workspaces, such as break rooms and training areas, and potentially manage scheduling for the store.
