Job Description
Monks is a leading global, digital-first marketing and technology services company and the operating brand of S4 Capital plc. Known for its commitment to innovation and excellence, Monks delivers advanced marketing orchestration through its AI ecosystem, Monks.Flow. By integrating bespoke intelligent agents and leveraging data-driven strategies, Monks transforms marketing into a dynamic growth engine that connects brands to culture in real time. With accolades including recognition as a Contender in The Forrester Wave for Global Marketing Services and multiple awards for AI innovation, Monks stands as a cutting-edge partner for technology brands seeking impactful creative and digital solutions. The company’s culture emphasizes diversity, equity, and inclusion, offering a respectful and empowering environment where fresh voices and unique perspectives are embraced to foster growth and creativity. Monks commits to sustainable growth and actively supports employee resource groups that represent the communities they serve.
The Associate Director, Strategy - Events and Experiences role at Monks is designed for a strategic leader with a passion for experiential marketing within the technology sector. This role focuses on delivering customer-centric spatial and retail strategic expertise for a top-tier technology client. The successful candidate will drive immersive and innovative brand experiences that blend physical and digital elements, referred to as "phygital" experiences. These experiences manifest through global trade shows, pop-ups, retail activations, and on-device content, providing seamless touchpoints across the purchase journey. Reporting to senior leadership, the Associate Director will evaluate client objectives and product roadmaps, create engagement strategies for consumer electronics and smart devices, and measure success beyond foot traffic to include metrics such as dwell time, sentiment, and conversion.
This role also demands collaboration with Creative Directors, Technologists, and Fabrication partners to bring strategic concepts to life, ensuring that physical activations are not only buildable but push the boundaries of interactive design. The Associate Director will lead efforts to grow Monks’ experiential portfolio within the US market by cultivating strong relationships with senior marketing leaders and winning new business through innovative, spatial strategic visions. This leadership role requires adaptability, resilience, and a forward-thinking mindset in a fast-paced environment where event deadlines are critical. The position is hybrid, based in the US with preference for California or New York, aligning with Monks’ Return to Office policy.
Monks offers a competitive salary range of $110,000 to $120,000 USD, alongside a comprehensive benefits package that emphasizes work-life balance, career growth, and employee well-being. The company provides outstanding medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage, generous PTO, company-wide holidays, 401k contributions, paid parental leave, and fosters a globally diverse and inclusive culture. Candidates who are excited to innovate in the experiential and retail marketing space and contribute to a forward-thinking agency dedicated to DEI and sustainable growth are encouraged to apply.
