The role of Operations Program Manager at Collins Aerospace within RTX presents a unique opportunity for experienced professionals to lead manufacturing strategy and program management efforts in a highly technical and classified environment. This position is based onsite in Richardson, Texas, at the Renner Building and requires an active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance at the Secret level. The Operations Program Manager will directly support the Program Management Office (PMO) by driving manufacturing and test plans, facilities, and investment decisions aligned with long-range strategic goals. The successful candidate will interface with cross-functional teams from various levels of the organization, including executive leadership, to ensure program objectives and manufacturing operations are executed effectively.

This role demands a leader who can manage complex manufacturing operations for both classified and unclassified programs involving sophisticated aerospace products. Responsibilities include overseeing the entire Operations function within the program, coordinating efforts among Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Facilities, Security, and Digital Technology teams. The manager will spearhead strategic contract shaping, ensure on-time delivery of customer commitments, and lead the transition from development to production phases. In addition, the role involves leading multi-functional teams to drive productivity improvement initiatives by utilizing methodologies such as CORE Six Sigma and lean practices to reduce costs and enhance efficiency.

Risk management is a critical component of this position, requiring the identification and mitigation of operational risks while also capturing new opportunities throughout the business cycle. The Operations Program Manager will be accountable for managing budgets, cost accounts, earned value management tasks, and variance analyses to maintain program financial health. They will also support business pursuits and contract negotiations by contributing to Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) compliance and Basis of Estimates submissions. This role includes business travel of up to 25% to collaborate with various stakeholders and maintain strong program leadership.

The salary range for this position is approximately $157,200 to $298,800 per year, reflecting a broad spectrum of experience levels and responsibilities.
