Renowned for setting the gold standard in luxury hospitality, the property prides itself on cultivating a warm and welcoming environment that values diversity, creativity, and the unique contributions of each team member. With over 100 award-winning properties worldwide, The Ritz-Carlton consistently attracts top hospitality professionals dedicated to delivering excellence in guest care and comfort.
The Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia is currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic professional to join their team as a Meetings and Special Events Manager. This full-time, management-level position offers a competitive annual salary range of $71,000 to $94,000 and includes eligibility for bonuses. Reporting to senior management, the Meetings and Special Events Manager will play a pivotal role in leading and executing the property's event operations, ensuring seamless coordination from the initial sales phase through to event completion. This position requires a hands-on leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional guest service while driving the financial success of the events department.
In this role, you will assist in developing and implementing departmental strategies that align with the overall brand service initiatives of The Ritz-Carlton. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the planning, execution, and quality assurance of all property events, ensuring every detail meets the highest standards. By working closely with various teams including sales, culinary, and operations, you will help create extraordinary event experiences that not only satisfy but exceed client expectations. Additionally, you will contribute to maximizing event revenue by identifying growth opportunities and leveraging strong vendor relationships.
You will lead and motivate a team of professionals by holding them accountable for delivering the desired service behaviors and aligning their efforts with departmental goals. Consistent communication and performance feedback will be central to your leadership approach, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards is also critical, including collaboration with Human Resources to adhere to OSHA and health department guidelines.
Success in this role demands a strategic thinker who is adept at managing budgets, negotiating with vendors, and balancing operational needs with customer satisfaction. You will conduct regular walkthroughs and briefings to maintain quality and resolve potential conflicts, all while fostering an atmosphere that embodies the Ritz-Carlton's Gold Standards. These core standards, including the Employee Promise, Credo, and Service Values, form the foundation of the brand's enduring reputation for luxury service.
Joining The Ritz-Carlton means becoming part of a global team where you are empowered to be creative, thoughtful, and compassionate. This is an opportunity to develop your professional skills in a prestigious environment that supports your growth and success. If you are ready to contribute to an iconic brand and be part of a team that prioritizes exceptional experiences, this role offers you the chance to thrive and make a meaningful impact within the industry.
