Job Description

Hyatt takes pride in fostering a dynamic work environment where employees are encouraged to develop their careers while contributing to the company’s commitment to excellence. The culture at Hyatt emphasizes teamwork, integrity, and a genuine desire to satisfy the needs of guests, making it a preferred employer in the hospitality industry.

The role of Associate Director of Events at Hyatt is a pivotal leadership position within the Event department, responsible for overseeing and enhancing group business services. This role entails a high level of responsibility, managing a team typically between three to ten catering and convention services managers, which includes hiring, training, coaching, and guiding them to deliver exceptional service. The Associate Director of Events functions as a key second-in-command, particularly in larger hotel properties, ensuring the smooth operation of event services from planning to execution. The ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented, and service-focused environment is crucial, as is a keen understanding of hotel event sales and planning processes. This position is ideal for an experienced hospitality professional who combines strong organizational and interpersonal skills with a passion for delivering extraordinary guest experiences through well-managed, high-quality events. The role also requires geographic mobility and ongoing professional development, with preference given to candidates holding certifications such as CMP and having completed specialized Hyatt sales training programs like PSS and PSN.
