The Events team at Grand Hyatt Washington plays a pivotal role in delivering memorable experiences by managing comprehensive event services. The available role is an exciting opportunity to join this dynamic team, where creativity and client satisfaction are paramount. The core responsibility of this position involves overseeing the planning and servicing of group business, ensuring seamless execution and high standards. The role supports hiring, training, coaching, and development of Event Planning and Event Sales Managers as well as the broader Events team, fostering a culture of teamwork and professional growth.
The successful candidate will interface directly with groups and meeting planners, working diligently to tailor events that exceed client expectations. Key responsibilities include administering the Sales agreement, setting traces, sending referrals, profiling accounts, detailing all food, beverage, and audiovisual requirements, managing room blocks and pick-up, and overseeing billing instructions and final reviews. This blend of leadership and hands-on event management requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and superior communication abilities. The salary range for this position is between $80,900 and $93,000, commensurate with experience, reflecting the importance and responsibility of the role within the hotel’s operational framework.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience in hotel event sales or event planning
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with computer systems and software related to event management
Job Qualifications
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
- Refined verbal and written communication skills
- Previous hotel event sales and event planning experience
- Proficient in general computer knowledge
- Extremely detail oriented and organized
- Previous leadership experience in Events preferred
