The Associate Director of Enrollment - Campus Visits & Events at Southeastern University plays a crucial role in enhancing the experience of prospective students and their families by managing and executing campus visits and events. This full-time position involves collaborating closely with the Director of Enrollment - Campus Visits & Events to plan, coordinate, and oversee all visit activities, ensuring each engagement is impactful and reflective of Southeastern University’s values. The Associate Director is responsible for crafting personalized visit agendas that meet the unique needs of visitors while coordinating with Enrollment Counselors, student leaders, and other university personnel to deliver a seamless and memorable campus visit experience.

This role also includes significant operational leadership, overseeing the First Impressions team and Welcome Desk activities, managing event logistics, handling purchasing and inventory, and maintaining accurate data management systems. The Associate Director is actively involved on event days and virtual recruitment events, ensuring smooth coordination and exceeding customer service expectations. An essential part of this position is managing student employees, including hiring, training, and supervising front desk student workers to deliver outstanding visitor experiences.

To be successful in this dynamic role, the candidate must exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong leadership and organizational abilities, and a proactive approach to driving innovation in event management. The position demands a high degree of independent judgment, ethical standards, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments such as Admissions and Financial Aid. Familiarity with data reporting and CRM software, preferably Salesforce, enhances the capacity to analyze visitor engagement and improve recruitment strategies.

With a consistently demanding schedule that includes 40 hours per week and extended hours during peak admission periods, the Associate Director must maintain flexibility and stamina while frequently engaging with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. Physical requirements of the role include the ability to manage event setups, lift materials, and be mobile during events that can last several hours. This position requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, ideally in business, education, marketing, or related fields, along with at least three years of experience in event management, enrollment, or a related area. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum three years of experience in event management, team leadership, enrollment, sales, or related field
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience with data reporting and event logistics
  • High degree of initiative, leadership, independent judgment, and ethical integrity
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of student information
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry software preferred
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods during events

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Oversee and enhance personal visits by coordinating with enrollment counselors, student leaders, and visitors
  • Manage and schedule group visits with precision and effective communication
  • Develop and implement communication strategies for event attendees
  • Assist in event planning and operations including runsheets and room reservations
  • Coordinate day-of-event activities to ensure smooth execution
  • Provide guidance and support to graduate assistants and student leaders including monitoring timesheets and productivity
  • Continuously seek and implement improvements to enhance visitor experience and event operations
  • Lead with hospitality and servant leadership by managing front desk activities and assisting with tours
