This full-time role, based in Omaha, Nebraska, offers an annual salary range of $59,000 to $78,000, reflecting the candidate's experience and skill set while aligning with internal equity standards. Reporting directly to the Culinary Director, the position is nestled within Conagra’s research and development kitchen where culinary innovation takes center stage. This role provides a unique blend of culinary creativity and technical expertise, requiring the candidate to not only cook but also to lead the development of new culinary products from initial concept to final execution. Working closely with food scientists, the candidate will help craft gold-standard formulations that are commercialized in manufacturing plants.
In this hands-on, highly visible position, the culinary professional will serve as a culinary ambassador, bringing trends and inspiration to life for leadership, customers, and various culinary events. The individual will coordinate research and development tastings, foster flavor and technique advancements, and translate complex culinary concepts into engaging storytelling that resonates with diverse audiences. The role demands organization, creativity, and a collaborative spirit to work alongside cross-functional teams and external partners. Job Requirements
- Associate degree in culinary arts or a related discipline
- Two years of experience in a culinary-focused role
- Previous experience with hands-on cooking responsibility and accountability for purchasing, sanitation, inventory management, and ordering processes
- Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on savory cooking and current food trends
- Sanitation training and certification
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical and logical problem-solving skills
- Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

- Maintain kitchen operations including sanitation, maintenance, and organization
