Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in food science, chemistry, biology, or related field
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in food applications or R&D
- Proficiency in sensory evaluation and flavor profiling
- Ability to work hands-on in lab and pilot plant environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to travel up to 25 percent
- Commitment to maintaining EH&S compliance and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field
- 2-5 years of experience in a food applications laboratory, production environment, or similar R&D setting
- Excellent tasting skills with ability to evaluate and articulate flavor profiles
- Foundational knowledge of ingredients, formulation science, and technical processes
- Curiosity and willingness to deepen expertise in food science
- Strong orientation to deliver practical, effective solutions
- Willingness to work hands-on in both lab and pilot plant environments and directly interface with customers
Job Duties
- Create new food product concepts or modify existing formulas to meet customer requirements, internal R&D goals, and innovation objectives
- Prepare and deliver product samples for customer briefs, technical applications, performance testing, quality control standards, and physical evaluations
- Conduct product testing and develop processing methods in laboratory and Pilot Plant settings
- Apply scientific methodologies to generate insights and innovations aligned with strategic opportunities
- Oversee new product development from initial concept to commercialization
- Source and evaluate new ingredients for performance, quality, and cost-effectiveness
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure ingredient quality and consistency
- Manage technical documentation and communication for new product development
- Perform economic assessments to support ingredient and formulation decisions
- Maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment in compliance with EH&S policies
- Contribute to additional innovation and development initiatives
