The Associate Computer Systems Analyst - Linux role is a full-time, on-site position located in Melbourne, FL, within Northrop Grumman's Classified Solutions team. This role involves supporting information system lifecycle activities critical to national security projects. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong communication skills, an energetic attitude, and patience with customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction while adhering to established security and policy guidelines. The position requires maintaining accurate hardware inventories, supporting internal technical problem resolution, and working collaboratively across multiple disciplines including network, software, and system engineers. The candidate should be familiar with multi-user computer systems and capable of managing multiple network environments under supervision to complete necessary administration tasks securely. Additionally, the role includes following documented technical procedures, reporting task statuses, and supporting IT environments through ticketing systems such as ServiceNow and JIRA. Candidates must be prepared for physical tasks like lifting equipment up to 50 pounds and occasional after-hours or weekend work. Due to the classified nature of the work, this position demands on-site presence with no telecommuting options.
Security clearance is a critical component of this role. Candidates must already possess an active U.S. Government Secret clearance or be enrolled in the government’s Continuous Evaluation program. The ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Access Programs is also required. Preferred qualifications include experience using Linux, a Bachelor’s degree, active Security+ certification, and familiarity with ticketing systems. Salary for this position ranges from $59,900 to $89,900 annually, with potential eligibility for bonuses, overtime, shift differentials, and long-term incentives depending on the level and role. Job Requirements
- Master's or bachelor's degree or associate's degree or high school diploma/GED
- 0-4 years of experience depending on education level
- ability to obtain Security+ certification within 9 months
- current U.S. Government Secret clearance or enrollment in Continuous Evaluation Program

Job Qualifications
- Master's or bachelor's degree with 0 years of experience, OR an associate's degree with 2 years of experience, OR a high school diploma/GED with 4 years of experience
- candidates must have a current U.S. Government Secret security clearance with a closed investigation date within the last 6 years or be enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation Program
- candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Access Programs
- experience using Linux

Job Duties
- Exhibit good communication skills, an energetic approach, and patience with customers
- establish and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction according to defined objectives while adhering to established policies
- maintain an accurate inventory of hardware in the asset management system, updating the records for each deployment, upgrade, relocation, and retirement
- assist with the resolution of technical problems and answer queries by telephone in support of internal customers' computer hardware, software, network, and telecommunications systems
- collaborate with network, software, and system engineers and PC desktop technicians and be aware of operations surrounding multi-user computer systems
- support multiple networks under supervision, ensuring necessary administration tasks are completed following all security policies and procedures
- follow documented technical processes and procedures in support of assigned job duties
- report task statuses as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts in written and oral format
- support environments by means of ticketing requirements systems such as ServiceNow and JIRA
- raise issues that require senior level attention or involvement
- lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds
- work after hours and weekends as needed
