Job Description
Learfield is a leading collegiate sports marketing company dedicated to connecting brands with passionate fans across campuses nationwide. With decades of experience, Learfield specializes in maximizing sponsorship opportunities, providing comprehensive marketing solutions, and enhancing the overall fan experience in collegiate athletics. The company operates through a unique partnership model with universities, athletic departments, and national brands to deliver innovative sponsorships, media rights, and marketing activations. As a premier provider in the sports marketing industry, Learfield emphasizes a collaborative and dynamic work environment that fosters growth, creativity, and success for both its employees and partners.
We are currently seeking a motivated sales professional to join our growing sponsorship business in a dynamic hybrid role that combines sales and activation responsibilities. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting and is eager to make a significant impact within collegiate athletics sponsorship. The role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team while advancing your career in sports marketing. You will play a key role in both revenue generation and partnership execution, supporting outreach strategies, activations, and account management to deliver an outstanding partner and fan experience.
As part of this role, you will manage a personal book of business while supporting broader sales efforts that include pipeline development, prospect research, and client outreach. You will execute the entire sales process, from prospecting and proposal development to closing deals and managing renewals. This comprehensive involvement provides broad exposure to the sponsorship process and opportunities to build strong relationships with clients and campus stakeholders.
The position also includes responsibilities in the activation phase, assisting with the fulfillment of partnership assets such as signage, radio, digital media, social channels, and in-venue promotions. Collaboration with cross-functional teams in marketing and operations ensures the seamless execution of sponsor campaigns. You will represent Learfield and its university partners at key events, game days, and hospitality functions, ensuring a superior client experience that fosters long-term partnership success.
Additional duties involve supporting the General Manager and property team with administrative tasks such as expense processing, invoicing, and budget management. You will also contribute to creating partnership recaps and social media account management to showcase the value delivered to partners. The role requires flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends during events and game days.
Learfield is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace that values diversity and equality, making it a rewarding place for professionals passionate about sports marketing and relationship-building to grow their careers. This position not only offers hands-on experience in sales and activation but also allows for expanding your industry knowledge by staying informed on emerging trends, brand activations, and innovative marketing platforms in collegiate athletics.
