Furthermore, the role encompasses cashier responsibilities on the serving line during student meal periods, which includes cash register operation, reconciling cashier drawers, and ensuring accuracy and accountability in cash collections.

The position requires flexibility, as the Associate and Cashier may be asked to work at any campus and perform various duties as assigned by the manager to support team operations efficiently. This flexibility includes filling different roles as needed and maintaining punctuality and consistent attendance in compliance with departmental policy.

Additional responsibilities include stringent adherence to HACCP and health department regulations, maintaining a sanitary work environment, proper storage of food items and supplies, and effective communication with students, staff, and visitors. Important aspects of the role involve upholding confidentiality regarding student meal status, participating in required ongoing USDA training, and contributing positively to a safe and supportive work environment.

The job demands physical activity such as standing, walking, bending, lifting (up to 35 pounds), and working in environments with varying temperatures, moisture, and noise levels.
