Pegasus Senior Living (PSL) is a respected name in the senior living industry, recognized for its commitment to enhancing the lives of seniors through compassionate care and supportive services. As a premier provider of senior living accommodations, PSL focuses on creating warm, welcoming environments where residents feel valued, comfortable, and cared for. The company has earned a Great Place to Work certification, underscoring its dedication to fostering a positive workplace culture that supports employees’ growth and well-being. PSL operates numerous communities nationwide, offering various living options that cater to seniors' diverse needs, from independent living to assisted care. With a mission centered on celebrating and enhancing all lives with kindness and integrity, PSL stands out for its holistic approach to senior care and employee satisfaction.
The role of Housekeeper at Pegasus Senior Living is pivotal in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appeal of the senior living community. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about serving seniors and understand the importance of their contributions to the daily lives of residents. Housekeepers at PSL ensure a hygienic and comfortable environment by performing thorough cleaning duties, managing housekeeping supplies, and assisting in the upkeep of resident rooms and common areas. Given the nature of senior living environments, attention to detail, reliability, and respect for residents’ personal spaces are essential qualities for success in this role.
This full-time or part-time position offers a competitive wage ranging from $19.25 to $19.50 per hour, reflecting a commitment to fairly compensate employees based on their experience, education, and certifications. Beyond salary, PSL provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance for full-time employees, as well as a 401(k) plan with matching contributions available to both full- and part-time workers. Additional benefits include employee assistance programs, paid time off of up to 20 days per year for full-time employees, flexible scheduling to accommodate individual needs, and options for same-day pay.
PSL encourages career development through mentorship programs and continuing education reimbursement, helping housekeepers advance their skills and career prospects within the organization. The company also offers a range of employee perks such as access to discounts on travel, dining, and retail, as well as an employee referral program that awards bonuses up to $2,000. Employees benefit from a supportive work environment with free community meals during working hours and access to the PSL Cares Program, which provides financial support for health-related needs.
Housekeepers must be physically capable, able to climb, bend, lift, stoop, kneel, crawl, push, reach, carry items, stand for extended periods, and occasionally move furniture to perform their duties effectively. A minimum of one year of relevant experience in hospitality, hotels, or senior living is preferred, ensuring familiarity with the standards and expectations of a senior care environment. Pegasus Senior Living is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities, fostering an inclusive workplace for all associates.
Joining Pegasus Senior Living as a Housekeeper means more than just a job – it is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors while enjoying a stable work environment with ample opportunities for personal and professional growth. The role offers a chance to be part of a caring team that values every employee and actively works to provide benefits and programs that improve quality of life and job satisfaction. Whether full-time or part-time, employees can expect a supportive employer who puts people first and helps build fulfilling careers in the senior living industry.
