The Legacy of DeForest, operating within the Park Vista community, is dedicated to creating a nurturing environment where residents can enjoy their later years with dignity, comfort, and respect. The facility is known for its personalized approach to elder care, focusing on enhancing the quality of life for each individual it serves. The team at Park Vista emphasizes a culture of respect, empathy, and collaboration, ensuring families feel confident in entrusting their loved ones to professional and capable hands.

At Park Vista, the mission centers on helping residents live their best lives so that families can return to their important roles as loved ones rather than caretakers. The organization fosters a supportive atmosphere guided by four core values: Dignity, Collaboration, Compassion, and Transparency. These values form the foundation of daily operations and interactions, reflecting a sincere commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of the residents, their families, and the team members themselves.

We are currently seeking a dedicated Cook to join our exceptional culinary team. This full-time role offers an hourly wage of up to $19.50, including a base pay of $18.00 per hour with an additional $1.50 per hour weekend shift differential. The Cook position plays a critical role in maintaining the high standards of food service at Park Vista by preparing quality meals in accordance with established recipes and menus. This role not only involves cooking but also includes tasks related to food presentation, cleanliness, and adhering to food safety protocols. The Cook collaborates closely with other culinary staff and management to ensure efficient and safe kitchen operations.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and a passion for providing nutritious and delicious meals to senior residents. Furthermore, the Cook will be entrusted with responsibilities such as coordinating shift operations in the absence of supervisory staff, managing inventory concerns by adjusting menus as needed, and maintaining comprehensive documentation related to food temperatures and cleanliness. Ensuring compliance with all local and state regulations regarding food storage, preparation, and safety is paramount. Additionally, the role demands maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, assisting with dishwashing when necessary, and upholding hygienic standards such as hair covering and hand protection during food handling.

Working at Park Vista means joining a team that values each member's contribution and supports professional growth. The Cook will be an integral part of a compassionate team making a meaningful impact every day. Moreover, the position offers attractive benefits including paid time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, and the opportunity to participate in a 401k plan after one year of employment.
