Integral Senior Living (ISL) is a prominent management company specializing in care and lifestyle-focused senior living communities. Operating across California and surrounding regions, ISL is dedicated to providing high-quality Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care services that enhance the lives of thousands of residents and their families. ISL stands out in the senior living industry by fostering environments where residents can thrive while ensuring that team members feel respected, empowered, and supported. The company's commitment to a strong organizational culture, known as "Culture Keepers," guides every aspect of its operations, creating purpose-driven communities centered around compassion, respect, and excellence.
As part of one of the largest senior living organizations in the United States, ISL-managed communities have received the prestigious Great Place to Work® certification consecutively from 2022 through 2026. This recognition underscores the company's commitment to creating rewarding and positive work environments, where employees are valued and motivated to deliver outstanding care and lifestyle services. ISL prioritizes professional development and continuous learning, ensuring that all team members have access to development opportunities that empower them to build meaningful careers within the senior living industry.
Integral Senior Living is a member of the Discovery Senior Living family of companies, further solidifying its position as a leader in senior care management. The organization employs thousands of dedicated team members who play vital roles in supporting residents' well-being and happiness. ISL offers competitive wages, flexible scheduling options including full-time and part-time hours, paid time off and holidays for full-time employees, and comprehensive benefit packages that include health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance. Additionally, employees have access to 401(k) plans with employer matching, paid training, opportunities for career advancement, meal provisions, uniforms, and an Employee Assistance Program. The company emphasizes a supportive and collaborative culture that recognizes every employee's contributions toward providing excellent resident experiences.
The Activities and Events Coordinator role is a key position within the ISL community, focused on enriching residents' lives through thoughtfully planned activities and events. This position entails assisting in the development and execution of a wide range of programs that address the physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of residents. The coordinator is responsible for organizing activities that foster engagement, joy, and community, thereby enhancing the quality of life for residents in Independent, Assisted, and Memory Care environments.
The role demands creativity and strong organizational skills, including the ability to delegate tasks effectively and build consensus among team members. The coordinator supports the comprehensive planning of event calendars, from inception through to the successful completion of programs, including setup, execution, and clean-up. Flexibility is essential, as the position requires working varied hours including evenings and every other weekend to accommodate planned events.
Ideal candidates for the Activities and Events Coordinator position possess an Associate's Degree in social work, recreation, sociology, psychology, or a related field, with particular preference given to those who have experience working in assisted living or long-term care settings, especially with memory care patients. Strong communication and presentation skills are crucial, as is the ability to inspire and motivate seniors to participate actively in community life. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is also necessary to manage documentation and event planning effectively.
By joining Integral Senior Living, you become part of a respected organization committed to making a positive impact in the lives of seniors and their families. The company values compassion, dedication, and teamwork, offering a supportive work environment where both residents and employees flourish. If making a difference in senior care and community activities appeals to you, Integral Senior Living provides a rewarding career path filled with growth, opportunity, and purpose.
