Job Description

This job opportunity is with a restaurant operated by an independent franchisee licensed to use McDonald's logos and food products. Unlike McDonald's USA, which operates corporate-owned restaurants, this franchisee is a separate legal entity and employer. All employment decisions, including hiring, firing, scheduling, and discipline, fall under the franchisee's control, not McDonald's USA. This distinction ensures that the franchisee operates with autonomy, while still maintaining the high standards and brand identity associated with McDonald's worldwide.

The franchisee-owned restaurant presents a dynamic, fast-paced work environment offering a chance to develop a fulfilling career. Ideal candidates are motivated to grow, value strong teamwork, and are ready to embrace the fast-moving nature of the restaurant business. This position is specifically tailored for those seeking advancement opportunities while being part of a widely recognized and respected international brand.

The role offered is that of a Department Manager, responsible for leading shift operations with a focus on delivering excellent customer experiences, operational excellence, and team leadership. Managers may take responsibility for specific systems within the restaurant, such as Training, Food Safety, or Inventory Management, overseeing goal setting, task delegation, follow-ups, and reporting results to other restaurant management.

Depending on the department assigned, responsibilities vary. The Guest Service Department Manager ensures frontline customer interactions are warm and efficient, supervising training and organizational aspects related to customer service areas like the front counter, McCafe, and drive-thru. The Kitchen Department Manager focuses on ensuring food quality, safety, and fast service delivery while controlling food costs and fostering proper staff training on food production processes and menu updates. The People Department Manager oversees hiring, training, and scheduling of crew members, ensuring a positive onboarding experience and continued motivation and recognition for the staff.

This career path is designed to inspire ambition while offering comprehensive benefits and tools for professional development. Managers lead with energy and purpose, inspire their teams, and contribute meaningfully to a business that aims to create positive moments with every customer visit. The hiring franchisee fosters growth through educational assistance, training programs, and supportive team culture, helping individuals build a promising career within the restaurant sector.

This role requires candidates to bring a blend of leadership skills, flexibility, and a passion for service in a fast-paced environment. Previous managerial experience in restaurants, retail, or hospitality is preferred. Candidates must be at least 18 years old. As part of the team, a manager will enjoy competitive pay alongside rich benefits like paid vacation, medical and dental coverage, educational support, and retirement options, all designed to support personal and professional growth.
