The role of Assistant Manager at SP+ is a vital leadership position based in Miami Beach, FL, offering an hourly pay rate of $24.00. Fluency in English is essential, with bilingual abilities in Spanish preferred. Job Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- At least 2 years’ experience in valet parking
- Fluent in English
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Availability to work all shifts including weekends
- Punctuality and excellent attendance
- Ability to maintain a neat appearance and uniform
- Ability to read, write and comprehend English
- Ability to perform assigned duties with minimal supervision
- Ability to apply sound judgment and enforce policies
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and associates
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions and handle physical demands
- Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs
Job Qualifications
- High School education or GED
- Minimum of 2 years experience in valet parking industry
- Prior guest service and hotel experience considered a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, Spanish preferred
- Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to drive manual transmission a plus
- Experience in event planning and account management
- Strong hospitality skills and professionalism
- Ability to enforce policies and procedures
- Ability to manage a team and maintain staff training
- Knowledge of valet parking software and hotel management experience a benefit
- College degree in hotel, hospitality, restaurant, or retail is advantageous
Job Duties
- Ensure all associates are greeting and assisting hotel guests and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
- Oversee parking services and rates
- Event planning related to the Valet Parking Department
- Anticipate and manage the impact of events on property parking operations
- Ensure client satisfaction through relationship building and meeting client requests
- Assist Valet Parking Manager with account management
- Ensure proper functioning and operation of the valet parking facility
- Enforce Standard Operating Procedures by valet parking associates
- Make high-level decisions with approval from the Valet Parking Manager
- Use hospitality skills to ensure guest and client satisfaction
- Monitor associate, operation, guest, and loss prevention issues
- Assist in maintaining sufficient staffing and training
- Maintain the culture and philosophy of SP+ Hospitality at all times
