The role available is that of an Assistant Valet Manager, a critical position responsible for leading valet operations and enhancing the guest arrival experience. This role is pivotal in ensuring that every guest receives a seamless and memorable welcome through efficient curbside service and meticulous traffic coordination. The Assistant Valet Manager is tasked with maintaining the highest standards of customer service, managing a valet team, and supporting various operational tasks that contribute to overall guest satisfaction.

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Organize and oversee daily valet operations
  • Delegate tasks to the valet team and inspect completion at the end of each shift
  • Provide timely feedback to team members to support performance and development
  • Create and maintain staff schedules while adhering to budget guidelines
  • Approve or decline time-off requests
  • Oversee room deliveries, schedule assignments, and log information for processing guest accounts and payouts
  • Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with Valet Supervisors
  • Manage payroll processes for the valet team
  • Maintain uniforms and name tags by managing inventory and ensuring compliance
  • Maintain high standards and aesthetics for valet workstation, entrance, and lobby areas
  • Communicate with management during peak times to request additional support
  • Enforce cash handling and valet tips policies
  • Monitor staffing levels to ensure appropriate coverage
  • Educate team members on hotel products, services, pricing, and local information
  • Check guests in and out professionally and confidently
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with staff
  • Enforce safety and operational policies
  • Use hotel communication tools to notify associates about pertinent information
  • Serve as a role model during emergencies and heavy activity
  • Administer counseling and discipline as needed
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and developing the valet team
  • Motivate and celebrate team member successes
  • Analyze service and satisfaction trends and implement improvements
  • Maintain good communication with all departments
  • Meet budgeted profit goals and labor efficiency ratios
  • Comply with security, fire regulations, and health policies
  • Maintain reporting accuracy
  • Engage with guests to ensure resolution and satisfaction
