As a leader in the quick-service restaurant industry, KFC has built a reputation based on quality, innovation, and community engagement. The brand operates numerous locations worldwide, each dedicated to providing guests with a welcoming environment, delicious food, and memorable dining experiences. KFC embraces a culture of equity, inclusion, and belonging, promoting a supportive atmosphere where employees can thrive and grow professionally.

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager to join our vibrant KFC team, playing a pivotal role in driving the restaurant's daily operational success. The Assistant Manager position is integral in supporting the Restaurant General Manager, ensuring that brand standards are consistently upheld and delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about leadership in the fast-paced restaurant industry and eager to advance their career while fostering an engaged and high-performing team. The employment type involves a 50-hour work week, with 40 hours compensated at regular pay and an additional 10 hours paid at time and a half, offering a balanced and rewarding work schedule.

In this dynamic role, the Assistant Manager will lead by example through hands-on training, coaching, and recognition initiatives that motivate the team to excel in customer service and operational excellence. The role demands a proactive approach to managing restaurant operations, including stepping in during the Restaurant General Manager's absence and making critical decisions to ensure smooth functioning. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the General Manager to evaluate team performance, provide constructive feedback, and address employee relations effectively.

The Assistant Manager will also have a key responsibility in recruitment and talent development, assisting in sourcing, interviewing, and hiring team members who embody KFC’s core values. This role supports maintaining high standards in food safety, health, and facility upkeep, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and occupational health regulations. Financial acumen is also vital, as this position involves assisting in profit and loss management, overseeing cash control, security procedures, inventory management, and labor cost optimization.

Beyond the daily responsibilities, KFC values a work-hard, play-hard culture, offering competitive pay, bonus eligibility, and comprehensive benefits such as paid time off, free meals during shifts, medical benefits, and a 401k retirement plan with a company match. Career advancement opportunities and professional development programs, including tuition reimbursement and scholarship opportunities through the KFC Foundation, are also available. The Foundation’s programs include free college tuition at WGU, a dollar-for-dollar savings match program, and hardship assistance, demonstrating KFC’s commitment to supporting employee growth and well-being.

Joining KFC as an Assistant Manager means becoming part of a company that believes in fostering personal growth, teamwork, and a rewarding work environment. This role offers the opportunity to lead in a respected brand, develop leadership skills, and build a rewarding career in the restaurant industry.
