Job Description

KFC, a globally recognized fast-food restaurant chain renowned for its delicious fried chicken and exceptional customer service, is seeking an Assistant Manager to join their dedicated team. KFC stands as a symbol of quality, community spirit, and culinary innovation, serving millions of customers worldwide. The company has a strong commitment to maintaining brand standards, fostering a positive work environment, and driving business success through employee development and customer satisfaction.

As an Assistant Manager at KFC, you will play a pivotal role in upholding the restaurant's success by supporting the Restaurant General Manager (RGM). This role goes beyond supervision; it involves inspiring and leading the team by example, providing training and coaching, and recognizing outstanding performance. Your leadership will be essential in delivering memorable customer experiences that align with KFC's Connect Success Routine, ensuring that every guest leaves with a positive impression.

This dynamic, hands-on position requires you to manage daily restaurant operations, particularly in the absence of the RGM. You will be empowered to make key decisions, drive the team toward operational excellence, and maintain rigorous food safety and health standards. The role embraces a culture of continuous improvement, fun, and challenge, providing an environment where personal and professional growth is nurtured.

Your work schedule will consist of a 50-hour week, with 40 hours at regular pay and an additional 10 hours compensated at time and a half, making the compensation package both competitive and rewarding. In addition to operational duties, you will collaborate with the RGM to assess team performance, offer constructive feedback, and address employee relations, ensuring a cohesive and motivated workforce. You will participate actively in recruitment, hiring, and fostering an inclusive culture that celebrates diversity and fosters a sense of belonging.

Financial acuity is also a key component of the Assistant Manager's responsibilities. You will assist in managing the Profit and Loss (P&L) by controlling cash, securing operational procedures, managing inventory, overseeing labor costs, and reviewing financial reports to optimize restaurant performance. Your efforts will contribute directly to the profitability and efficiency of the restaurant.

Furthermore, maintaining the physical restaurant space is vital. You will aid in facility maintenance and ensure that all health and safety standards are meticulously followed, providing a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for both employees and customers.

This role at KFC offers numerous benefits including competitive pay, bonus eligibility, paid time off, free meals during shifts, medical benefits, a 401k retirement plan with a 4% match, opportunities for career advancement, professional development, tuition reimbursement, and scholarship programs. Additionally, KFC Foundation Programs provide valuable support such as free college tuition at Western Governors University (WGU), a dollar-for-dollar savings match program, and a hardship assistance program, among others.

If you are a motivated individual with over two years of experience in restaurant or retail management, strong leadership skills, and a passion for fostering a vibrant, inclusive workplace culture, this Assistant Manager position could be the perfect opportunity to grow your career with a globally respected brand.
