With thousands of locations worldwide, KFC continues to expand and maintain its position as a favorite dining destination for millions of customers. Its brand is recognized for iconic recipes, customer-focused service, and a strong company culture that supports growth and development for its employees. KFC emphasizes diversity, equity, and inclusion, creating a welcoming environment for all team members and customers alike.
This position is for an Assistant Unit Manager at a KFC restaurant located at 1901 32nd St, Northport, Alabama. The role offers an hourly wage ranging from $13 to $14 and requires a strong commitment to operational excellence and team leadership. The Assistant Unit Manager will work closely with the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) to oversee daily restaurant operations and uphold the KFC brand standards. This position demands 50-hour work weeks, including 40 hours at regular pay and 10 hours at time and a half, balancing the workload with rewarding compensation.
As an Assistant Unit Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the restaurant's success by supporting the management team and leading by example. Your duties will include ensuring consistent customer satisfaction by modeling the KFC Connect Success Routine, managing shift responsibilities, maintaining high food safety standards, and stepping in to run operations when the RGM is absent. The position offers opportunities to engage in various aspects of restaurant management such as assisting in recruitment, training, performance feedback, and employee relations. The role is designed to foster a culture of equity, inclusion, and belonging among staff while also promoting personal and professional growth.
You will have a direct influence on the financial health of the restaurant by assisting with Profit and Loss (P&L) management, including cash control, security procedures, inventory maintenance, and labor management. Your responsibilities will also involve facility maintenance and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards to provide a safe and welcoming environment for both customers and employees.
KFC supports its team members by offering competitive pay, bonuses, paid vacation after the first year, career advancement opportunities, professional development, and tuition reimbursement programs. Additional perks include discounts on mortgages, vehicles, cell phones, gym memberships, and more. KFC Foundation Programs offer unique benefits such as free college tuition at Western Governors University (WGU), a matching savings program, and hardship assistance, making this position both rewarding and supportive of your long-term goals.
This opening at KFC Northport represents an excellent opportunity for individuals with restaurant or retail management experience who are ready to take on a leadership role in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
