Job Description

Zen Educate is a forward-thinking, technology-driven platform dedicated to transforming the education staffing industry. By seamlessly connecting schools with qualified educators, Zen Educate simplifies and accelerates the hiring process, making it more transparent and efficient. This innovative approach allows schools to quickly find the right teaching professionals that align perfectly with their unique needs, while also providing educators with more access to meaningful opportunities that suit their skills, preferences, and availability. Operating with a strong focus on fairness and efficiency, Zen Educate is committed to building a robust educational ecosystem where quality teaching and student success go hand in hand.

Zen Educate is currently recruiting for paraprofessionals and classroom aides to support special education students for the 2026–2027 academic year. These part-time or full-time roles offer a significant opportunity for educators passionate about making a genuine difference in the lives of learners with special needs. Candidates joining early in the recruitment process can complete onboarding ahead of the busy fall season, thereby securing their positions and settling effectively into their roles. With a competitive pay range of $18 to $22 per hour and flexible weekday schedules typically between 7:30 am and 3:00/4:30 pm, Zen Educate offers rewarding work environments with no weekend duties.

The role of an Assistant Teacher or classroom aide at Zen Educate involves collaborating closely with licensed teaching staff to create supportive, inclusive, and effective learning experiences. This includes assisting students in meeting their Individualized Education Plans (IEP), maintaining a learning-conducive classroom environment, and providing one-on-one or small group support as needed. Additionally, these educators play a vital role in supporting students in crisis situations and aiding student engagement during community outings. Utilizing various learning methods to tailor educational support and celebrating student achievements are also key aspects of this position.

Potential candidates should have completed 60 college credits or possess an associate degree, alongside a passing score on the ADE assessment or ParaPro/Praxis exams. A minimum of one year experience working with children—particularly those with special educational needs—and familiarity with personal care are essential. Candidates must also hold a Level 1 IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card, have professional proficiency in English, and be authorized to work in the United States without visa or relocation sponsorship support from Zen Educate.

Physically, candidates should be comfortable standing and moving inside a classroom throughout the day, lifting up to 20 pounds safely, and responding quickly to support students as needed. Preferred qualifications include previous experience in special education, behavioral technician or PCA roles, crisis prevention training, and CPR certification.

Zen Educate offers attractive benefits such as weekly pay, paid sick leave, and 401K options subject to eligibility. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals who want to contribute to meaningful educational outcomes through dedicated student support. Joining Zen Educate means becoming part of a dynamic organization that values collaboration, transparency, and the professional growth of its educators. Ready to make a real impact in education? Connect with a recruiter today and embark on a rewarding path to support special education students with Zen Educate.
