As part of a growing educational initiative, the academy offers an inclusive setting where diversity, equity, and inclusion are deeply valued and practiced. The organization is committed to hiring passionate individuals who share its vision for transformational education and community-centered growth. Located in Mesa, Arizona, the Mesa - Meadowvale preschool site is an important part of this expanding network, welcoming children and families to a supportive educational experience.

The role of the part-time Assistant Teacher (Float), internally titled Assistant Teacher I, is vital to the daily operations and educational success of Bezos Academy preschools. This position requires a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week, typically structured over a four-hour shift from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday. This position offers an hourly wage starting at $19, with a pay range up to $22, and includes benefits such as paid sick (care) time accrued in proportion to hours worked and access to a 401(k) retirement plan with a 4% employer match.

Key responsibilities include assisting classroom teachers, supervising mealtimes, supporting child supervision during various daily transitions, and contributing to general classroom upkeep and school operations such as cleaning and meal preparation. Assistant Teachers also help maintain accurate child and family records and are expected to complete required onboarding and Montessori basics training swiftly to align with licensing and educational standards. This role demands professionalism, reliability, strong organizational skills, and a genuine passion for working with young children to foster growth in a safe and inclusive environment.
