- Partial high school education or equivalent
- two years of cleaning or related experience or two years as a lead worker or acting as supervisor
- knowledge of housekeeping operations
- ability to provide instructions and maintain records
- familiarity with supervisory and personnel practices
- strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- Ability to provide instructions and maintain records, generally acquired through a partial high school education
- two years of cleaning or related experience necessary to obtain knowledge of scope of housekeeping unit operations, or 2 years as a lead worker or acting as supervisor
- familiar with accepted supervisory and personnel practices and standards
- ability to oversee and manage housekeeping schedules
- effective communication and team leadership skills
Job Duties
- Conduct inspections, monitor performance, and maintain records, equipment, and supplies
- establish and maintain housekeeping schedules and make work assignments across assigned service areas
- conduct comprehensive inspections to ensure completion of work assignments
- ensure assignments are properly staffed and that employees have adequate supplies and equipment
- monitor employee performance, determine when disciplinary action is appropriate, and ensure proper training of new and existing personnel
- discuss general housekeeping procedures with personnel in assigned areas
- perform other related duties incidental to the work described for this classification
