Job Description

Cabot is a renowned global developer and operator of world-class golf destinations, dedicated to providing exceptional golfing experiences across multiple prestigious locations worldwide. With a steadily growing portfolio consisting of six owned properties and four Cabot-managed properties, Cabot is recognized for creating luxury residential and boutique resort destinations that attract golf enthusiasts from every corner of the globe. Some of the distinguished properties in Cabot's portfolio include Cabot Cape Breton in Nova Scotia, Canada; Cabot Saint Lucia in the Caribbean; Cabot Revelstoke in British Columbia, Canada; Cabot Citrus Farms in the United States; Cabot Highlands in Scotland; and Cabot Bordeaux in France. These destinations are meticulously developed and managed to ensure unparalleled quality, blending the natural beauty of their surroundings with exquisitely designed courses and world-class amenities. Cabot's expertise extends beyond property ownership as it also successfully oversees the operations of several premier golf courses in the United States through its Cabot-managed properties. These include iconic courses such as Cascata Golf Club and Serket Golf Club in Las Vegas, Nevada; Grand Bear Golf Club in Saucier, Mississippi; and Chariot Run Golf Club in Laconia, Indiana. Each course under Cabot’s management maintains high standards of excellence, delivering exclusive golf experiences characterized by superior service and meticulous course maintenance. Cascata Golf Club, one of the flagship Cabot-managed properties, is nestled amidst the breathtaking red rock mountains just above the Las Vegas Valley. Designed by Rees Jones and opened in 1999, Cascata is known for its dramatic elevation changes, lush fairways, and panoramic views of the River Mountain Range. The 32,000 square foot Tuscan-inspired clubhouse and world-class practice facilities make it a premier golf destination that offers a unique escape close to the vibrant city of Las Vegas.

The Assistant Superintendent (Secondary) role is a critical position within the golf course maintenance team at one of Cabot’s premier golf properties. Reporting directly to the Golf Course Superintendent, this role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the maintenance crew to ensure optimal playing conditions and the health of the turf. The Assistant Superintendent will play a key role in training and supervising the maintenance team, applying agronomic best practices, managing the application of pesticides and fertilizers, troubleshooting irrigation systems, and supporting equipment upkeep. This position requires a hands-on leader who can assist in scheduling, manage safety protocols, track environmental data like moisture levels and weather conditions, and maintain detailed records related to course management. The role demands a broad skill set that balances technical turf management expertise with effective people management and organizational abilities. The position offers a competitive salary starting from $60,000 per year and includes an attractive benefits package that supports employee well-being and professional growth. This is an in-person role located at one of Cabot’s managed properties and is ideal for individuals passionate about golf and turf management who want to contribute to maintaining and enhancing some of the most renowned golf courses in the United States. Cabot is committed to equal employment opportunity, providing an inclusive work environment free from discrimination and harassment, promoting diversity across all levels of employment. This role represents an exciting opportunity to join a prestigious organization recognized for its dedication to excellence in golf course development, management, and hospitality.
