As a respected leader in the coffeehouse industry, Starbucks prides itself on an innovative culture that values craftsmanship, customer experience, and social responsibility. With stores located worldwide, Starbucks continues to lead in quality, sustainability, and employee empowerment, making it an iconic brand synonymous with coffee culture.
The role of an assistant store manager at Starbucks is instrumental in supporting the overall operation of the coffeehouse while cultivating an environment where both partners (employees) and customers feel valued and appreciated. This leadership role emphasizes creating moments of connection and joy through exceptional service, operational excellence, and team leadership. The assistant store manager works closely with the store manager to coach and develop partners, ensuring the store meets its business goals, maintains quality standards, and delivers memorable customer experiences. This position is more than just managing daily operations—it is about leading with craft and heart to build a vibrant community hub.
In this role, the assistant store manager will have the opportunity to develop vital leadership skills while contributing to a positive company culture that promotes inclusion, growth, and collaboration. Starbucks invests significantly in the growth journey of its partners by providing developmental experiences and industry-leading benefits designed to support both personal and professional advancement. Candidates with retail or customer service management experience, US Military service, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and a sales-driven entrepreneurial mindset are highly encouraged to apply.
This full-time position requires flexibility as it involves working variable hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Starbucks offers a competitive compensation package based on experience, job-related knowledge, and location. The assistant store manager role is overtime eligible, though overtime hours are not guaranteed.
Starbucks values diversity and equal opportunity employment, ensuring all qualified applicants receive consideration regardless of their background. The company fosters an inclusive workplace, respects accommodations for disabilities, and is committed to compliance with applicable labor laws. Working at Starbucks means joining a community focused on excellence, growth, and making a positive impact — a place where your contributions matter every day.
