Job Description

Wild Fork is a rapidly growing specialty food retailer dedicated to delivering high-quality frozen foods and superior customer experiences. Known for offering a wide variety of products across numerous categories, Wild Fork prides itself on providing a unique Personal Chef shopping experience that elevates everyday meals for its customers. At the core of its operations are values such as determination, simplicity, availability, humility, sincerity, discipline, and ownership, which drive the company’s culture and business success. Wild Fork is committed to fostering a collaborative work environment where employees are empowered to grow and innovate. This company operates with a clear focus on training, salesmanship, and leadership competencies to ensure every team member can contribute meaningfully to the company’s goals.

The Store Team Lead role at Wild Fork is a full-time position offering an hourly wage of $23 with additional potential for monthly bonuses. This leadership role is integral to the store's smooth functioning, as the Team Lead supports store management by overseeing daily operations, delegating tasks, and monitoring team performance to meet strategic store objectives. A Store Team Lead is expected to think like a customer and act like an owner, bringing enthusiasm and dedication to every interaction. One of the main responsibilities includes creating a Personal Chef experience for customers and coaching sales leaders to do the same. They serve as brand ambassadors who not only promote the company’s core values but also lead by example in every aspect of customer service and operational excellence. Training is a significant component of this role, as the Team Lead is responsible for onboarding new team members, providing ongoing education on products and sales techniques, and encouraging participation in training programs. Additionally, the Team Lead collaborates closely with the store manager to supervise and motivate sales leaders, evaluate employee performance, and maintain a culturally positive workplace.

Operational excellence is another critical element of the Store Team Lead’s responsibilities. They assist in planning local marketing campaigns, oversee inventory and sales processes, and ensure all company policies are followed rigorously. The Store Team Lead must have a deep understanding of company goals and key performance indicators (KPIs), using data-driven insights to track and improve store performance. They also provide essential support to the store manager by covering leadership activities when necessary, ensuring continuity and consistency in management.

Physical resilience is important in this role, as the position requires standing and walking for extended periods, occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, and working in varying temperature conditions, including walk-in freezers. Wild Fork values employees who show initiative, integrity, and flexibility, making the Store Team Lead an ideal position for individuals eager to grow their careers in retail leadership while contributing to a company that values its people and its customers alike.
