The role of Assistant Store Manager at SmartStop® Self Storage Store #4007 in Texas City, TX, offers an opportunity to join this innovative and impactful organization. This position is designed for individuals who are attentive to detail, highly organized, and enjoy solving problems creatively. The Assistant Store Manager plays a critical role in daily operations, including leasing storage and parking units, managing team members, assisting with maintenance, overseeing on-site projects, and maintaining strong customer relationships. Operating hours are Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm, Saturday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and Sunday 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, eliminating night shifts and promoting a healthy work-life balance.
Starting at $16.50 per hour plus bonus, this position emphasizes a supportive and collaborative work environment where each team member's contributions are valued. Key duties include renting storage units, preparing rental agreements, handling monetary transactions and banking activities, cleaning vacated units, and maintaining the overall curb appeal of the property. The Assistant Store Manager also promotes and sells self-storage solutions to potential customers and conducts light maintenance tasks as needed. Candidates must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and current auto insurance. The role requires a background check to ensure a safe and trustworthy environment for customers and staff alike.
